The Democrat-favoring Amnesty For Illegal Aliens Bill Of 2007 (S. 1639) was killed on a cloture vote today in the United States Senate.

The vote was 46 for and 53 against ending debate so the bill could move forward. Sixty votes are required for cloture. (Roll Call Vote)

Of the Democrats, 34 voted for (including former Democrat, now Independent, Lieberman) and 15 Democrats voted against; Democrat-leaning Socialist Sanders (Independent) also voted against.

Opening up the floodgates to uneducated, unskilled immigrants and rewarding lawbreakers is a terrible idea. Of course, Democrats would benefit greatly as they have a lock on the underclass vote. Uneducated people love Democrats.

Democrats received roughly 60% of the Hispanic vote in 2004. That share rose to about 70% in the 2006 election, largely as a result of Republican opposition to amnesty for illegal immigrants–most of whom are Hispanic.

This story is truly unbelievable. Yet, it is not atypical of the idiocy that is liberalism.

In Massachusetts, a prisoner serving life in prison for murder has sued to force the state to pay for a sex-change operation.

According to the article, the Court has listened hundreds of hours of testimony from medical experts and other witnesses in trying to decide this case. The state Correction Department has already spent $52,000 on expert testimony.

And the case was allowed to proceed!

Following are two quotes, one from a Republican lawmaker, the other from a liberal attorney. Which one is rooted in logic and actually makes sense and which one doesn’t?

“They are prisoners. They are there because they’ve broken the law,” said Republican state Sen. Scott Brown, who unsuccessfully introduced a bill to ban sex-change surgery for inmates. “Other folks, people who want to get these types of surgeries, they have to go through their insurance carrier or save up for it and do it independently. Yet if you are in prison, you can do it for nothing? That doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

But advocates say in some cases - such as that of Kosilek, who has twice attempted suicide - sex-change surgery is as much a medical necessity as treatment for diabetes or high blood pressure.

“The duty belongs to the prison to figure out how to fulfill its constitutional obligations to both provide adequate medical care and provide a fundamental security for all inmates,” said Cole Thaler, an attorney with Lambda Legal, a gay- and transgender-rights group.

The quote from the lawyer represents the third-party responsibility attitude of most liberals. Everyone else is responsible for you, except yourself. Criminals aren’t responsible for their crimes, they are the product of a bad environment. Welfare mothers aren’t responsible for supporting their children and themselves, taxpayers are. Parents aren’t responsible for educating their children, schools are. Americans aren’t responsible for providing for their own healthcare, the government is. And in this absurd case, the taxpayers of Massachusetts are responsible for paying for a sex-change operation for a sexually-deviant nutcase murderer!

Liberals really are a twisted, delusional bunch, aren’t they? I highly suspect the judge is a liberal, because any judge with a brain would have thrown this case out of Court long ago.

Common sense and logic go completely out the window when liberals are involved.

New Orleans, a city run by Democrats and overwhelmingly populated by Democrats, is returning to normal. Normal for a Democrat-voting community is sky-high crime and violence! (Story)

In all fairness, crime was high in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina devastated the city, just as it is in every Democrat stronghold. So why is this newsworthy when it wasn’t before? Democrats will use this publicity as a method of getting more taxpayer money so they can lavish miscreants with more welfare benefits, most likely.

Too bad these Democrat morons don’t realize that it is the welfare system which rewards laziness and irresponsibility that is largely to blame for the societal destruction plaguing every Democrat community in America.

Compare middle-class Republican voting strongholds versus Democrat strongholds at the community level. Which has the higher crime and violence? Which is peaceful and prosperous? Which is characterized by well-kept homes and manicured lawns? Which is characterized by litter-strewn streets and graffiti everywhere?

There is no doubt that the Democratic Party and their loyal voters are directly responsible for rampant crime and violence plaguing Democrat communities. And with academic achievement so dismally low in DFL strongholds, it isn’t likely the voting populace is going to come to its senses any time soon. If they are too dumb to read beyond an eighth-grade level, they aren’t smart enough to make a wise decision at the polls.

Don’t expect Democrat politicians to say anything about this, either. The last thing they want to do is alienate their loyal welfare-loser voting base–no matter how many thousands of Democrat voters are senselessly murdered every year.

Convicted felons, murders and rapists, welfare losers, skidrow drunks–the DFL needs every vote it can get.

Bill and Hillary Clinton liquidated their blind trust in an effort to head off accusations of hypocrisy and criticism from their anti-capitalist liberal base. The trust, which was reported to be valued at between $5 million and $25 million (I bet the true value is on the high end), contained holdings in stocks of Big Oil, Wal-Mart, pharmaceuticals, and military contractors. All of these companies have been demonized by the Democratic Party, some by Hillary Clinton herself.

The real question is: will the Clintons disgorge themselves of all the profits they made from these investments? Hillary Clinton has publicly stated that she wants to confiscate the profits of Big Oil. Unless she gives away all those ill-gotten gains, she is a true hypocrite.

The Clintons have profited from high oil prices, high healthcare costs, the Iraq War, and low employee wages and benefits at Wal-Mart. They have profited from everything they claim to be against. There is no other honest thing for the Clintons to do but deny themselves the profits they made from these investments.

Perhaps the Clintons can give their millions in profit from these holdings to the poor they pretend to care so much about. Nah, they’ll never do that! These elitist DFLers like to live lives of wealth and luxury that they want to deny the rest of us the opportunity to enjoy.

The Clintons are among the dirtiest frauds and liars the world has ever known. How anybody can consider voting for this fraud Hillary Clinton is beyond me.

It was reported that disgraced former President Bill Clinton earned a whopping $10 million for doing very little work in 2006 (he gave speeches).

Mr. Clinton always pretended to care about the poor. But will he give all of his earnings to the poor he says he cares about, or will he use his money to live a lavish lifestyle? Here’s a guy with the financial means to help those he says he cares about. But will he? Nope.

Bill Clinton is many things: impeached former President, cheater, liar, perjurer, sexual harasser, sexual predator, alleged rapist and more. He’s also a hero to millions of liberal idiots. But one thing he isn’t is genuine. He isn’t a man of principles or conviction. Bill Clinton a shameless liar and a fraud.

Enjoy your limousines and caviar, Mr. Clinton. Don’t worry about the poor and homeless you pretend to care about suffering because you won’t help them with your millions of dollars.

Senate majority leader, Harry Reid (D-VA), announced that the Senate will face more votes about Iraq in the coming weeks.

Didn’t the Democrats fail at this a few weeks ago? Yes they did.

What happens if we pull out of Iraq as liberal anti-war nuts and many Democrats say they want to do? Peace? The end of terrorism against the Iraqi citizenry? Not likely.

If we leave Iraq, the overwhelming odds are that the entire nation will descend into chaos. Terrorism and bloodshed will reign against the populace. Terrorists will be emboldened by their “victory” against the United States, using Iraq as a platform for further conquests. Civilians will be conscripted into the terrorist’s army meaning that instead of fighting several thousand terrorists, we will have to contend with millions of soldiers.

What Al Qaeda wants is control–and the Democrats are more than willing to give it to them. Or are they?

You see, there is no telling what the Democrats really want. Do they want us to pull out of Iraq? Or are they posturing in order to pander to their vocal liberal base because they know nothing will result?

If there is no chance of getting anything passed, then the Democrats can be as outlandish as they want to be without regard to reality. Their liberal base, as gullible and stupid as they are, will be satisfied with the DFL’s hollow symbolism. Perhaps not completely satisfied, but satisfied enough continue showering the Democrats with votes.

Thus the Democrats maintain the liberal support they so desperately need by engaging in symbolic gestures that they know are futile. They sound like frauds to me.

What can we say to describe Bono, lead singer of the rock group U2? Multi-millionaire. Liberal. Humanitarian. Nobel-prize nominee. Fraud.

For the past several years, Bono has been flying all over the world (pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere) badgering politicians of countries he considers wealthy, prodding them to give more money to help alleviate poverty in Africa. Bono has been especially critical of the United States of America.

But why doesn’t Bono give the bulk of his money to the poor in Africa? Does he genuinely care? Doesn’t he want to use his own wealth to help the Africans he pretends to care so much about?

Let’s look at a few facts about Bono.

Bono’s band, U2, charges upwards of $150 for prime tickets to their concerts (how can the poor afford that, Bono?), and can generate estimated gross revenue of $2 million per show. Bono spent $15 million to buy a swanky apartment in Manhattan in 2003, one of several lavish homes he has in several countries. Bono and his U2 band mates moved their publishing company from Ireland to the Netherlands so they could enjoy a lower tax rate on royalties, keeping more money for themselves (the rich get richer at taxpayer expense, eh, Bono?).

Bono has all this wealth that he could use–if he wanted to–to help poor Africans, but he doesn’t.

How many thousands of poor, starving Africans could be helped with Bono’s millions? How many Africans could be fed, clothed, housed, and protected from disease with the money Bono spent on just his lavish New York apartment alone? Doesn’t Bono care?

No, Bono doesn’t care. He is a typical liberal fraud who is more concerned about his own celebrity than whatever cause he latches onto to bolster his notoriety. He expects taxpayers in other countries to fork over their money to help Africa while he lives a life of wealth and luxury and engages in practices to enrich himself by paying less in taxes.

How do these liberal frauds look at themselves in the mirror? Bono is a truly disgusting hypocrite.

While speaking to union members today, Hillary Clinton said:

If we don’t have a strong manufacturing base in our economy, it won’t be long until we don’t have a strong economy.

Great. But what does this imbecile think that her and her DFL comrades’ tax increases are going to do? Make manufacturing more rewarding?
To a business, taxes are an expense. Hillary Clinton and the other Democrats want to force businesses to provide health insurance to all workers and increase taxes on them. Income taxes, carbon taxes, it never ends with DFLers. The Democrats’ taxes erode profitability and reduce the return on investment from putting money toward productive activity, making it not worthwhile.

Does Hillary and her idiot DFL buddies think that people invest money in businesses so the Democrats can steal it all? Socialist Hillary wants to take things away from people, yet she thinks that people should invest in American manufacturing to make it easier for her to do so!

Let’s give Hillary credit for one thing: she did truthfully admit that we have a strong economy. Usually these Democrats are perpetuating the lie that “our economy is in shambles”.

Worker wages and benefits are one reason that companies look to offshore labor. The Democrats’ high taxes and regulation are another reason jobs are leaving America. It is possible that this is the biggest reason.

The Democrats need to learn one important lesson: Nobody works and invests so the Democrats can take all their money away.

After years of reading “Bush lied” garbage in the newspaper, I finally saw an article about Hillary Clinton’s prior support for the Iraq War.

Ms. Clinton believed Saddam Hussein was a dangerous man and a threat with WMDs and nuclear weapons. Hillary supported war, she supported removing Saddam from power.

The liberal left likes to ignore such facts. They like to bash Bush, pretending as if he acted alone when we invaded Iraq and deposed Saddam Hussein. But the reality is that Bush couldn’t have done a thing without the support of Democrats like Ms. Clinton.

Will liberals call Hillary Clinton a “war monger”? Will they say that Hillary lied for oil? Probably not. The left will turn a blind eye to Hillary’s support for the war and their own values in the process, continuing to support someone who held the same positions as President Bush-whom they accuse of lying.

Do Democrat politicians really care about the poor? The answer is: NO!

How can we tell? Easy. Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy (and others) are all very wealthy. If they cared about the poor, they would give the bulk of their own money to the poor, save enough for a modest home similar to what most Americans live in. They would sacrifice their own wealth to help the poor–if they truly cared, that is. But none of them do.

It isn’t hard to give away money, is it? If you listen to these Democrats talk, there are people suffering everywhere. There are homeless who need to be housed and fed, people who can’t pay their medical bills, and on and on and on…

Yet all these Democrat hypocrites live a life of wealth and luxury despite the hardships of millions. Don’t they care?

Does John Edwards really need a $400 haircut? Couldn’t he get a $15 haircut and donate $385 to the poor he pretends to care so much about? Of course he could.

Does Hillary Clinton need her big fat bank account, investments, and book royalties? Are there not people who could be helped with her millions? Of course there are.

Does Al Gore need three giant homes that suck up energy like crazy and contribute to global warming at an alarming level? Couldn’t he sell two of his homes and donate that money to the poor he pretends to care so much about?

How many of these DFL elitists itemize their charitable contributions on their tax returns and end up paying less in taxes than they otherwise would? They want all of us to pay higher taxes, but they don’t want to pay those taxes themselves or part with that money voluntarily.

Democrats pander to the underclass by promising to steal money from those who earn it and give it to those who support them with votes. Democrats essentially buy votes with taxpayer money. It’s a racket. If those phony Democrats really cared, they would give up their lifestyles of wealth and excess and give their own money to those they claim to care about.

How many thousands of people could be helped with the cumulative wealth held by Clinton, Edwards, Gore, and Kerry? A lot of people could be helped with these DFLer’s wealth, no doubt about it. But people aren’t being helped because the Democrat frauds don’t believe in living their lives like they tell us we should live ours.

Democrat politicians do not care about the impoverished except for the votes they can get from them.

As most people expected, Hillary Clinton leads the Democratic field for the 2008 presidential nomination. This is according to a Washington Post poll taken from May 29th to June 1st. The numbers:

Clearly, John Edwards is getting his butt kicked in the race. This is despite tons of free publicity as a result of his wife’s cancer announcement a couple of months ago. Given that he was the 2004 Vice Presidential nominee, things are not looking good for Edwards. He has dropped 6% since the April poll.

So why is Edwards even running with numbers this bad? Is it so he can bill $400 haircuts to his campaign instead of paying for them out of his own pocket?

We wouldn’t expect a multi-millionaire, ambulance-chaser lawyer like Edwards to use his own money for personal grooming expenses, would we?
Maybe Edwards should drop out of the race and go back to giving speeches about poverty to poor college kids at $55,000 a pop? These Democrats are such frauds!
As for Al Gore, this poll seems to dash the hopes of the radical Environmentalists; Gore would have only 17% support to Clinton’s 35% if he joined the race.

“I want to take those profits,” says Hillary Clinton (video). The profits Ms. Clinton is talking about are the profits generated by the oil companies who supply us with the energy source that forms the foundation of our very economy.

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle (DFL), filled with rage because he feels that oil companies aren’t paying enough in state income taxes, proposed a 2-1/2 percent tax on oil company gross sales in the state. The Wisconsin Democrats, in their zeal to stick it to the oil companies, are also trying to forbid the companies from passing the tax along to consumers by threat of imprisonment.

Private property rights? Not under the Socialist Democrats. There are no rights other than the ones they decide we should have. If you have money, the Democrats will attempt to take it–every penny you have–and next year they’ll come back for more.

But who will ultimately pay the price?

“Big Oil” consists of a handful of large corporations, most with worldwide operations. Several “Big Oil” companies employ over 100,000 employees each. “Big Oil” companies are corporations, meaning that their stock is publicly traded. But who owns that stock? Who owns “Big Oil”?

People like you and I and tens-of-millions of other Americans collectively own “Big Oil”. Every diversified investment portfolio is going to include some holdings in oil companies. These portfolios are comprised of money invested by pension funds, 401k and other retirement plans, and individual mutual funds. Every American who has a retirement plan or pension plan is an owner of “Big Oil”.

Thus, a Democrat’s attack on “Big Oil” is an attack on just about every working American in the United States. A Democrat’s tax on oil companies is coming out of the pockets of working Americans. Too bad the Democrats and their loyal voters aren’t smart enough to realize this.

Democrat voters also probably don’t realize that Democrats have blocked every attempt to get at our own sources of oil. What do these Democrats think is going to happen? The American economy is growing, the world economy is growing, but the DFL refuses to allow drilling in American territory. Then they complain about the high price of gas! Incredibly stupid, yet so typical of Democrats.

The Democrat strategy is as follows:

1. Block all attempts to get at domestic sources of oil in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico
2. Complain about high gas prices which are a result of demand increasing faster than supply
3. Concoct conspiracy theories blaming “Big Oil” for what is actually the fault of the DFL
4. Propose new taxes on gas
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 ad infinitum

Democrats: Bad for working Americans.

Here’s a little challenge to all Democrat voters out there:

Name one Democrat-voting stronghold that isn’t a hellhole of crime and violence.

If you look at just about every community in America that votes 65% or higher for Democrats, you will notice a few characteristics:

• High crime
• High violence
• Lowest academic achievement in the modernized world

These characteristics can be found in every region of the country where Democrats enjoy a comfortable majority. In many, if not most of these communities, the rise in crime and violence can be traced to the time immediately following when the city had its last Republican mayor. There will be more on this later.

Crime, violence, low academic achievement–all are hallmarks of Democrat strongholds. Isn’t it painfully obvious that the Democratic Party is a miserable failure?
