We came off one of the coolest summers in recorded history.  Last year was below average in temperture, too.  But that isn’t stopping greedy Democrat trial lawyers from pressing ahead with class action lawsuits against coal burning electricity generators and others.

A public nuisance lawsuit against coal burning utility companies.  A class action lawsuit against oil, coal, chemical and insurance companies blaming them for property damages related to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  It was their carbon dioxide emissions that contributed to “climate change” and magnified the impact of the storm so says the litigants, as if there have never been severe hurricanes before.  And there is an Alaskan coastal town suing ExxonMobil and oil, coal, and electric companies blaming them for thinning ice.

The insanity is just beginning.  Don’t forget:  Democrats blocked Republican tort reform every time it was introduced during the 2000s.

Democrat Senator Max Baucus (of Montana) revealed his idiotic health care plan yesterday. Among the goals of the plan are to lower health care costs and extend coverage to millions of–but not all–uninsured Americans and legal immigrants. Democrats say that under his plan no personal tax increases will be required and that 94% of all Americans will be covered, leaving 6% uncovered. Health insurance coverage will be mandated for all and those who refuse to pay for it themselves will be subsidized by the government. Health insurers will be forbidden from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions and will not be able to impose a lifetime cap on benefits.

Let’s examine this plan and reveal the faulty logic of the dysfunctional Democrat mind.

How will all this be paid for under the Democrat plan? By raising taxes on health care insurers, medical device makers, drug companies, and medical labs.

Democrats will use the revenue from targeted industries to subsidize insurance for those who do not want to pay for it.

Raising taxes on companies leaves them with less money. Higher taxes reduce the rate of return on investment. In order to stay even, which every company will attempt to do, they will raise their prices and pass along the tax increases to consumers.

The cost of health care will increase because of the higher taxes. This will increase the government’s cost of subsidizing health insurance. The government will then need to increase taxes on the targeted industries to cover the higher cost of health care. The targeted industries will pass along the increased taxes to consumers, increasing the government’s cost of subsidizing health insurance. The government will then need to increase taxes on the targeted industries again, which will increase their costs which will be passed onto consumers again.

See how stupid Democrats are?  They think raising tax expenses on the health care industry will lower costs when it will actually increase them.  Baucus’ plan essentially pays for subsidized health insurance by driving up the cost of insurance, creating a never-ending loop of tax increases which will be passed on to consumers.  That’s liberal logic for you.

Liberal terrorist David Guy McKay, who didn’t have anything better to do with his life than to travel from his hometown of Austin, Texas, to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, last September to protest and cause mayhem, has pleaded guilty.

Guy and another liberal terrorist built Molotov cocktails and planned to use them against police and other targets.  In a plea hearing a couple of days ago, McKay proved to the world what a brave, strong man he is by breaking down into tears in court.

The hour-and-40-minute hearing appeared to leave attorneys and the judge exasperated and the defendant frustrated and in tears.

What a big man he is.  Why, he’s going to take on the Republicans by protesting!  He’s going to show the world just how evil Republicans are by throwing firebombs at police!  Then he’s going to cry in court like a little girl.  His parents must be so proud of the Democrat he’s become…

Guy faces between three and four years in prison.  I would say to him not to drop the soap in the shower, but he’s probably into that kind of thing.

Liberal Matthew Bradley DePalma has been sentenced to 42 months in prison for plotting to use Molotov cocktails against the police and other targets during the 2008 Republican National Convention in September of 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Before a federal judge sentenced him, Matthew Bradley DePalma said that while his heart was in the right place – he felt it important to protest eight years of a Republican presidency – his head didn’t think through his actions.

“My actions … really make me no better than the people I was opposing,” the 23-year-old told U.S. District Judge John Tunheim in Minneapolis. He likened his behavior to “an angry child hitting his brother.”

“How dare I step up and try to replace something I saw as wrong with something equally unenlightened?” DePalma said.

Nice logic, isn’t it?  “I oppose Republican policies of low taxes, jobs, economic growth, and bringing freedom to millions of oppressed Iraqis; therefore, I am going to douse innocent people with flaming gasoline.”

Another liberal terrorist, Texan Bradley Neal Crowder, has pleaded guilty for the same thing and is awaiting sentencing.  Another Texas resident, David Guy McKay, charged with the same crime, is awaiting a second trial after his first ended in a mistrial. His lawyer must have stocked the jury with complete idiots. The attorney successfully convinced a few jurors that McKay was “entrapped” into building fire bombs by a government informant working for the FBI.

Is it possible to entrap someone into committing an act of terrorism?

Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder. What kind of loser can just pick up and travel hundreds of miles from his home to protest something they don’t like? Don’t these liberals have jobs and responsibilities? Probably not. That’s why they are liberals in the first place.

Former 1970s liberal terrorist Kathleen Soliah, a.k.a. Sara Jane Olson, is being released from prison on parole soon after serving a seven-year sentence in California.  Back in the 1970s, she was a member of radical liberal terrorist group the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA).

The SLA committed bank robberies, murders, and attempted bombings in the name of drawing attention to America’s “oppressive” and “racist” prison system.  They viewed prisons as being political concentration camps designed to oppress African-Americans.  Nice logic, huh?  So typical of liberals.  They are a messed-up bunch.

Soliah was convicted of taking part in a plot to kill Los Angeles police officers by placing bombs under their squad cars and being an accomplice in a bank robbery during which a customer was shot and killed.  Such a nice woman…

Soliah assumed an alias and lived in St. Paul, Minnesota, for decades before finally being caught in 1999.  She lived her life as a housewife, actress, mother, and supporter of “progressive causes”.  She married a doctor and lived in an ivy-covered house in an upscale, mostly white section of the city.

Not only is she a killer, a thief, and a terrorist, but she’s a hypocrite who sold out, too.  She married an upper-income doctor and lived in an upper-middle class neighborhood.

There is no shortage of liberal hypocrites who sold out.  Pretending to be something you’re not is what liberalism is all about.

Democrat Senator John Kerry wrote a piece for CNN.com that appeared on its website yesterday.  In it, Kerry praised Obama for banning harsh, yet effective, interrogation techniques and ordering the closing of terrorist detention facilities around the globe.  Let’s look at a few highlights that demonstrate the shortcomings of the Democrat brain.

Kerry wrote:

In a season of transformational changes, these are among the most meaningful, because they send a powerful message that America’s struggle against terrorism will once against honor some of the most cherished ideals of our republic: respect for the rule of law, individual rights, and America’s moral leadership.

Damn, that John Kerry is an idiot!  Obama’s order last week prohibited waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques, ordered closed terrorist detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay and other clandestine CIA jails around the globe, and basically gave terrorists full protection under the United States Constitution.

Who is the message being sent to?  Did Obama’s executive order send a message to terrorists and others who want to do America harm?  And what is that message?  That it is now easier to commit acts of terrorism against the United States and should you do so, you will be treated humanely, unlike your treatment of civilians whom you targeted with acts of terrorism?

The only message Obama sent is a message of cowardice and weakness.  But hey, it isn’t surprising that a man named “Hussein” would make it easier for terrorists to commit terrorism, is it?

Kerry continued:

The president understands all too well that the threat our nation faces from terrorism is all too real. And we should all agree that sometimes, in the name of national security, it is necessary to make difficult ethical decisions to protect the American people.

How is closing terrorist detention facilities going to make America safer?  How can anyone–even someone with a defective brain like a liberal–possibly argue that letting dangerous terror suspects out of jail is a good way of protecting the American people?

Kerry further adds:

However, I and many others believe that the use of torture and indefinite detention have not only tarnished our honor but also diminished our security.

Uh, how so, John?  It has been proven that waterboarding provided actionable intelligence which prevented terrorist plots from being carried-out.  It has also been proven that a few terror suspects released from Guantanamo have joined terror groups and participated in terrorism.  These are bad people, you money-marrying moron.  How can you possibly argue that letting them out of jail makes America safer?

Kerry continues:

In this global counterinsurgency effort against al Qaeda and its allies, too often our means have undercut our efforts by wasting one of our best weapons: the legitimacy that comes from our moral authority.

How stupid must you be to say something like that?  Do you think Bin Laden, or any other terrorist, gives a rat’s ass about America’s “moral authority”?  Do you think they sit around and say, “America has stopped pouring water on the faces of our beloved terrorists thanks to Barack Hussein Obama.  Therefore, we will now cease all acts of terrorism and live in peace with our fellow man.”?

Liberals do not rely on facts to form viewpoints and they confuse allegory with real facts.  There is not a terrorist in the world who is going to look at America’s “moral authority” when determining whether or not to carry out an act of terrorism.  Only a liberal idiot would dare make such a suggestion.

Kerry continues:

Torture plays directly into a central tenet of al Qaeda’s recruiting pitch: that everyday Muslims across the world have something to fear from the United States of America.

Worst of all, what Kerry has done is blame America for terrorism instead of blaming the terrorists who commit the civilian-targeting bombings.

Did Clinton “torture”?  No.  Did acts of terrorism occur under Clinton?  Yes.  Several occurred.  And 9/11 was plotted while Clinton was still President.

Obviously, treating terrorists with respect and treating terrorism as a criminal act instead of an act of war, which the Clinton administration did and the Obama administration plans to do, does nothing to stop terrorism.  The Clinton administration did nothing after the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 to prevent Al Qaeda from committing terrorism against American targets around the globe and here at home.  The result:  Al Qaeda continued to flourish and commit acts of terrorism undaunted by Clinton’s kid-gloves treatment.

As a matter of fact, Bill Clinton could have had Bin Laden killed or possibly captured in the mid-1990s, but refused to do so because he did not believe we had a sufficient basis for criminal charges on which to hold Bin Laden.

What happened?  Bin Laden roamed free because of the Democrats and committed 9/11 which killed 3,000 people on American soil.

That’s how wrong the Democrats have been on terrorism.  Democrats are wrong on every issue, all the time.  The events of 9/11 proved just how wrong Democrats were then, and how wrong Barack Hussein Obama is now.

Being nice to terrorists does not work!

Kerry adds:

As we move forward, President Obama is wise to “reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals” — but the American people should know that closing a prison conceived outside the rule of law will not be easy.

Reclaiming Guantanamo and its inhabitants into our legal system from what former Vice President Dick Cheney called “the dark side” will be an enormous challenge and a thicket of thorny legal and policy issues.

Terrorists are not US citizens and are not entitled to the protections of the United States Constitution which Democrats wished to give for years, and Obama is now giving them.  Further, terrorists do not wear uniforms and do not represent a country and are thus not entitled to the protections of the Geneva Convention.

But that won’t stop the Democrats from making terrorists honorary United States citizens.  Is it surprising, given that Democrats want open borders?  I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama moves all the terrorists from Guantanamo to a housing project in Chicago and lavishes them with welfare benefits.

Kerry, despite his bleeding heart, admits the following:

In some cases we simply lack evidence to charge men we know to be extremely dangerous to the American people.

He admits that some of those terrorists at Guantanamo are dangerous.  But how can he know that if he admits we “lack evidence to charge” them?  Do you know what Kerry is preparing us for?  I’ll tell you:  letting terrorists go free.

John Kerry is a moron.  I don’t know who is a bigger moron:  him or Barack Obama.

Regardless of who is the bigger moron, both of these men–and the entire Democratic Party for that matter–are making America less safe by planning to release terror suspects into global society and by giving them the protections of the United States Constitution which should only be granted to citizens, including the high threshold that is the burden of evidence intended to protect citizens–not terrorists–from overzealous prosecution.

Now, Democrats are demanding that terror suspects be protected by the Constitution, even if that means giving knowingly dangerous terrorists their freedom because of technicalities.

It’s amazing to watch liberals spin policies that make it easier for terrorists to kill Americans, isn’t it?

On the positive side, if any acts of terrorism occur on American soil, they are most likely to happen in Democrat-leaning population centers.  And as far as I’m concerned, the more dead Democrats there are, the better.

The “average” global temperature–as if you could measure such a thing–was down in 2008.  The average temperature of the planet was 57.76 degrees Fahrenheit, or 14.31 degrees Celsius, down 1/10th of one degree Celsius over last year and down 21/100ths of a degree Celsius compared to 1998.  (Reuters Story.)  Despite the temperature being down, global warming advocates insist that we are still experiencing a warming trend.  And as you would imagine, the only possible solution to this global warming is: higher taxes.

Isn’t it amazing how scientists can calculate the average temperature of the entire atmosphere of the earth to a precision of 1/100th of a degree Celsius?  That must be trillions of cubic meters of atmosphere to be measured, and they can do it to an amazing degree of precision.  Right?  Wrong.

Global warming is the biggest scam ever pulled on mankind.  Climate change is real, but only because the climate is constantly changing.  Most of North America, including the land I live on now, was once covered by a giant glacier.  Nobody complained about polar bears dying when the glaciers receded, did they?

Average Global Temperature Not Meaningful

Discussions on global warming often refer to ‘global temperature.’ Yet the concept is thermodynamically as well as mathematically an impossibility, says Bjarne Andresen, a professor at The Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.

“It is impossible to talk about a single temperature for something as complicated as the climate of Earth”, Bjarne Andresen says, an expert of thermodynamics. “A temperature can be defined only for a homogeneous system. Furthermore, the climate is not governed by a single temperature. Rather, differences of temperatures drive the processes and create the storms, sea currents, thunder, etc. which make up the climate”.

This notion that there is 100% consensus among scientists that global warming is caused by man is completely untrue.  The earth has warmed and cooled many times over the millennia, and it will continue to do so regardless of human activity.

Scientists who attempt to measure the average temperature of the earth do so using a sample as it is not possible to measure the temperature of the climate at trillions of different data points.  With any sample, there is going to be a statistical margin of error.  What is the margin of error for the average temperature sample?  That information is never divulged.  A statistical average is never supposed to be used as an absolute, as global warming advocates are trying to do.  A statistical average is a descriptor that may or may not be accurate within the margin of error.  Think of political polls and how often they are wrong.

Furthermore, the climate is very complex and largely random.  It cannot be modeled to a high degree of precision because nature does not operate according to a mathematical model.  Solar activity and even the activity in the earth’s molten core can contribute to changes in earth’s temperature.

If scientists can’t accurately predict the temperature in a certain location to within one degree 24 hours from now, how can they predict the temperature of the entire planet 50 or 100 years into the future?  They can’t.  Try explaining that to a liberal!

When the Democrats had their convention in Denver recently, did Republican voters cause mayhem?  No.  That’s the difference between Repubicans and Democrats.  Republicans by and large are respectable citizens.  Liberals are, for the most part, trash.

The first day of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul saw liberals doing what they do best:  violence and vandalism.  It’s been reported that 284 liberals were arrested, with well over 100 of those arrests for felonies.

• Throwing feces like monkeys
• Smashing windows of private businesses
• Smashing windows of police cars
• Flattening tires of police cars
• Overturning trash cans, park benches, and scattering garbage in the street
• Destroying street signs
• Blocking traffic
• Assaulting the police
• Assaulting convention goers from Connecticut, including an 83-year-old man, throwing a chemical solution, believed to be bleach, in their faces
• And much more

These liberal specimens of human garbage purposely targeted the elderly.  How brave of them.  It takes a big liberal to assault elderly people, doesn’t it?  Violence, vandalism, assault, that’s what the liberal left does best.

The Minnesota National Guard had to be called in to help quell the mayhem because of the incompetence of the Democrat leadership of the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  Previously, city leaders put a bunch of restrictions on police, at one point considering banning police from carrying guns.  Yes, that’s right, the idiot Democrats who run these cities handcuffed the police and made it easier for these liberal scumbags to cause trouble.

On Saturday, several houses inhabited by liberals were raided by police.  Among the items confiscated by police from the liberals were:

• Baseball bats
• Metal tire puncturing devices (caltrops)
• Buckets of urine
• A machete, throwing knives, and axes
• Flammable liquids
• Metal pipes
• Sledge hammers
• Rapelling equipment

Republicans don’t act like this.  Only Democrats and, in particular, their liberal allies do.  Five liberals were arrested in that raid.  After the raid, liberals were claiming that police were infringing on their Constitutional right to free speech.

Is that right?  You need axes and throwing knives to engage in free speech?

The raids were conducted by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department.  The leadership of Democrat-controlled St. Paul complained that the county was overstepping its bounds. The fact is, the Democrats running St. Paul couldn’t be trusted to do the right thing because they are sympathizers with these liberal kooks and have done everything possible to make it easier for the liberals to commit criminal acts.

The majority of those arrested appeared to be in their early 20s.  Instead of working to earn a living, these malcontents instead focus their energy on vandalism and violence.  But this is so typical of liberals.  By the way, many of these protesters were carrying Barack Obama signs.

Liberals are trash.

Wow!  Who would have ever imagined that a left-wing, anti-capitalist group like the Sierra Club would endorse a Democrat like Barack Obama?

Yes, the Sierra Club did endorse Obama.  The liberal group’s executive director Carl Pope was quoted as saying:

At the end of the day, John McCain just signed up with the Bush policy of giving the oil industry what it wants.

Isn’t that just illustrative of the faulty logic of the liberal mind?  Drilling for oil is not about giving the oil companies what they want, it is about giving the American economy what it needs.

According to the federal government, there are about 250,000,000 registered passenger vehicles in the United States.  What fuels those vehicles?  Gasoline derived from petroleum.  What fuels construction machinery and trucks that haul freight across the nation?  Diesel, also derived from petroleum.

These liberal dimwits act as if alternative energy and hydrogen or electric cars are just around the corner.  It’s a no-brainer that alternative energy is the future, but it will be many years before 250 million vehicles in the United States are replaced with vehicles that use alternative energy.  And what will all those currently existing vehicles run on in the meantime?  Fuels that come from oil.  That’s why we need more of it.

A liberal nut has gone to court in Minneapolis to ask that President George Bush be arrested for war crimes when he comes to Minnesota for the Republican convention later this year.

What really makes this story particularly interesting is one of the claims that the petitioner makes. The liberal, Ed Felien, makes the following claims about the President:

(President Bush) has fraudulently represented a war against Iraq as essential for our national interests when in reality the war only benefits his private interests. With his Saudi friends he has cornered the supply of oil and raised prices. And through his longtime family contacts with the CIA and the Mafia he has arranged for the transporting of heroin into Hennepin County.

You read it right. This liberal who believes that Bush lied and is guilty of war crimes believes that the President is responsible for transporting heroin into Minnesota.

What bothers me is not just the fact that this liberal is wasting court time and taxpayer money on his absurd claim of war crimes (and other offenses like the heroin thing), but that this guy is representative of the thinking of liberals everywhere. No logic, no basis in reality, but very typical of liberal thought.

Why should anyone give any credibility to what liberals say when they think like this?

Andre Carson was elected to the US House Of Representatives from his district covering the Indianapolis, Indiana, area. He’s the grandson of the late DFL Representative Julia Carson, who died in December of 2007 and whose seat he is filling.

Andre Carson converted to Islam a decade ago. As you can imagine, he is eager to pull troops out of Iraq, surrendering it to radical Islamists. Who would have ever guessed that a Muslim would want to surrender to Muslims?

No matter what the situation is, you can always count on Democrat voters to act in a self-destructive manner. Democrat allies such as union members destroy the free market and push jobs overseas with ridiculous wage and benefit demands. Unionized teachers destroy the education system and hold it hostage as a bargaining chip. Then you’ve got generation after generation of Democrat-voting welfare parasites destroying communities with crime and violence.

Now they are electing Muslims to positions of power when we are at war with radical Islamists. Pure Democrat brilliance…

Liberal Al Qaeda leader Adam Gadahn called for attacks on President Bush when he visits the Middle East this week.

“Now we direct an urgent call to our militant brothers in Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula … to be ready to receive the Crusader slayer Bush in his visit to Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula in the beginning of January and to receive him not with flowers or clapping but with bombs and booby-trapped vehicles,” said the California born liberal terrorist in a newly released video.

Terrorists think like liberals, liberals think like terrorists. So, calling this Al Qaeda member a liberal is justified. He’s as left wing as one can get. It is amazing just how similar the views of Bin Laden and other terrorists are to those of the liberal left and most Democrat politicians.

Let’s look at some similarities between liberals and terrorists. Both liberals and terrorists:

• Have an irrational hatred of Bush for no good reason
• Want the US to surrender Iraq to Al Qaeda giving the terrorist organization millions of new conscripts
• Hate Israel
• Want to domineer their fellow man
• Target US service members for attacks: liberals attack with smear campaigns and slander, terrorists with bombs
• Call the United States an imperialist oppressor, as if giving freedom to people is oppression
• Want terrorists to be treated well by US forces while they are free to behead and bomb anyone they desire
• Make it easier for terrorists to conduct acts of terrorism by hamstringing US counter terrorism efforts
• Misrepresent the truth by claiming America is losing in Iraq

There are many more similarities between liberals and terrorists. But I don’t have all day to cover them.

Have you ever wondered why liberals sympathize with terrorists the way they do? It’s because most terrorists are liberals.

In Mexico a band of leftist terrorists bombed gas and oil pipelines today. (Story) Oil is a very important source of revenue for Mexico, still a largely impoverished nation. I’m not sure if these liberals decided to commit acts of terrorism because of their desire to steal money from others, perceived injustices which exist in their minds only, their desire to control the lives of others, or because they want to destroy all that exists for the sake of destroying it. Regardless, wherever you look around the world, those who hold the liberal mindset all behave in a similar fashion. They are nothing but low-class thugs, extortionists, thieves, liars, and destroyers.

If you look at the words of Osama Bin Laden, you will be struck by just how similar his views are to those of American liberals. It’s frightening to see how much a mass-murdering terrorist like Bin Laden has in common with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, or any of the other left-wing nutjobs in this country.

Liberalism is a mental defect.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before Democrats and their left-wing communist voting base were politicizing the collapse of the Interstate 35W freeway bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, MN, in yet another pathetic attempt to press for tax increases.

“We need to raise taxes,” is the tired refrain from the “Bankrupt America Now” crowd. Democrats act like there is an endless supply of money ripe for the picking and taking it will not interfere with the economy one iota. That just isn’t true.

Democrats always insist that more money be spent on education, but when you tell them that districts that spend the most per student like Washington DC (about $13,348 per student in 2005) have significantly lower student test scores than much lower spending places like Utah ($5,216) or North Dakota ($7,829), they just don’t comprehend the point you are making. All they want is more tax revenue because the more money they have to spend the more power they have. That is the extent of a Democrat’s understanding.

The same applies to roads.

Everywhere you look, left-wingers are pinning the blame for this tragedy on a lack of funding for transportation. Representative Jim Oberstar (D-MN) criticized the Bush administration saying the following at a news conference the day following the collapse:

This administration failed to support robust investment in surface transportation and the funding to accompany it.

When asked if under funding by the Bush administration was responsible for the bridge collapse, Oberstar replied:

No. But the needs are immense. And if we don’t fund the program properly, then necessary bridge inspections can’t be conducted.

Another Democrat lie. The bridge was inspected in 2006, and has been inspected annually for the past several years. The 2007 inspection started, but was interrupted by construction work and was to continue later this fall.

So, under funding wasn’t responsible for the bridge collapse, the bridge was inspected regularly, yet somehow we are to believe that we need more spending and corresponding tax increases?

Democrats would be more convincing if they weren’t so easily caught in lies.

It so happens that there were serious concerns about the safety of this bridge due to cracking in the steel support structure. There was sufficient money to pay for repairs of this bridge and ensure the safety of the public. But the department of transportation decided against making the repairs, opting for closer inspections instead. Why? Who knows.

If the bridge was found to be unsafe, it should have been closed. Then nobody would have been on it and nobody would have been a victim of this tragedy. As part of the federal interstate system, it is very likely that federal funding for replacement of the bridge would have been available, at least a signifcant portion of the cost.

But it wasn’t found to be unsafe by inspectors to the extent that it was unusable. No amount of additional transportation spending or tax increases will change the fact that it was deemed safe. This, sadly, is a case of human error and not a case of insufficient transportation funding.

No matter which way the wind blows, Democrats will be pushing for tax increases. Always.

Every time an oil company wants to drill for oil or some oil company or investment group wants to build a refinery, liberals file lawsuits to try and stop it.

Wonder why gas prices are so high? Liberals and their Democrat allies are to blame.

The Democratic Party has blocked domestic oil drilling every year since 2001. As long as the dirty Democrats have enough members in Congress to block drilling for domestic oil, you can expect gas prices to continue to rise.

As with almost everything bad that happens to America, you can lay the blame at the Democrats’ feet.

Elijah Page, a convicted murder, was executed yesterday in South Dakota. He pleaded guilty in 2000 for the brutal torture and murder of an acquaintance.

Yes, we all know how most liberals are fiercely opposed to the death penalty for murderers. It’s so sad that a man who tortured and killed another human being is put to death, isn’t it?

But I’m sure liberals will drown their sorrows in abortions.

Chopping up a fetus and tossing it in the garbage is a great way for liberals to get their minds off of things that trouble them.

Most of the reviews I’ve read of this flick have been superficial to a sickening degree. The reviewers don’t examine the premises of the movie; instead, they focus solely on the production quality and emotional effect it has on them, which, most likely, taps into their pre-existing biases.

This review by Kurt Loder is different–it looks at the opposing view. According to Loder, Moore portrays socialized medicine as a panacea without ever examining the truth behind most government-run healthcare programs: long waiting lists, shortages, and sub-par care.

In typical liberal fashion, Moore omits critical facts that completely contradict his ideas, if not outright destroys them. Moore, as do most left-wingers, relies on the emotional aspect to convey his message. Liberals and Democrats have faulty logical reasoning abilities, so the only way to reach them is with emotional pleas. Moore has made many tens-of-millions of dollars doing just that.

Loder mentions in his review that Michael Moore refers to Hillary Clinton as “sexy”. Moore probably thinks a plate of doughnuts is sexy. If Moore had any credibility at all, he certainly doesn’t after saying that.

I wonder if Moore touches on the impact of obesity on healthcare costs…

If you are considering seeing Michael Moore’s “Sicko”, give this review a read before you go. Then decide if you want to make an already wealthy liberal charlatan even richer with your hard-earned money.

This story is truly unbelievable. Yet, it is not atypical of the idiocy that is liberalism.

In Massachusetts, a prisoner serving life in prison for murder has sued to force the state to pay for a sex-change operation.

According to the article, the Court has listened hundreds of hours of testimony from medical experts and other witnesses in trying to decide this case. The state Correction Department has already spent $52,000 on expert testimony.

And the case was allowed to proceed!

Following are two quotes, one from a Republican lawmaker, the other from a liberal attorney. Which one is rooted in logic and actually makes sense and which one doesn’t?

“They are prisoners. They are there because they’ve broken the law,” said Republican state Sen. Scott Brown, who unsuccessfully introduced a bill to ban sex-change surgery for inmates. “Other folks, people who want to get these types of surgeries, they have to go through their insurance carrier or save up for it and do it independently. Yet if you are in prison, you can do it for nothing? That doesn’t make a lot of sense.”

But advocates say in some cases – such as that of Kosilek, who has twice attempted suicide – sex-change surgery is as much a medical necessity as treatment for diabetes or high blood pressure.

“The duty belongs to the prison to figure out how to fulfill its constitutional obligations to both provide adequate medical care and provide a fundamental security for all inmates,” said Cole Thaler, an attorney with Lambda Legal, a gay- and transgender-rights group.

The quote from the lawyer represents the third-party responsibility attitude of most liberals. Everyone else is responsible for you, except yourself. Criminals aren’t responsible for their crimes, they are the product of a bad environment. Welfare mothers aren’t responsible for supporting their children and themselves, taxpayers are. Parents aren’t responsible for educating their children, schools are. Americans aren’t responsible for providing for their own healthcare, the government is. And in this absurd case, the taxpayers of Massachusetts are responsible for paying for a sex-change operation for a sexually-deviant nutcase murderer!

Liberals really are a twisted, delusional bunch, aren’t they? I highly suspect the judge is a liberal, because any judge with a brain would have thrown this case out of Court long ago.

Common sense and logic go completely out the window when liberals are involved.

“I want to take those profits,” says Hillary Clinton (video). The profits Ms. Clinton is talking about are the profits generated by the oil companies who supply us with the energy source that forms the foundation of our very economy.

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle (DFL), filled with rage because he feels that oil companies aren’t paying enough in state income taxes, proposed a 2-1/2 percent tax on oil company gross sales in the state. The Wisconsin Democrats, in their zeal to stick it to the oil companies, are also trying to forbid the companies from passing the tax along to consumers by threat of imprisonment.

Private property rights? Not under the Socialist Democrats. There are no rights other than the ones they decide we should have. If you have money, the Democrats will attempt to take it–every penny you have–and next year they’ll come back for more.

But who will ultimately pay the price?

“Big Oil” consists of a handful of large corporations, most with worldwide operations. Several “Big Oil” companies employ over 100,000 employees each. “Big Oil” companies are corporations, meaning that their stock is publicly traded. But who owns that stock? Who owns “Big Oil”?

People like you and I and tens-of-millions of other Americans collectively own “Big Oil”. Every diversified investment portfolio is going to include some holdings in oil companies. These portfolios are comprised of money invested by pension funds, 401k and other retirement plans, and individual mutual funds. Every American who has a retirement plan or pension plan is an owner of “Big Oil”.

Thus, a Democrat’s attack on “Big Oil” is an attack on just about every working American in the United States. A Democrat’s tax on oil companies is coming out of the pockets of working Americans. Too bad the Democrats and their loyal voters aren’t smart enough to realize this.

Democrat voters also probably don’t realize that Democrats have blocked every attempt to get at our own sources of oil. What do these Democrats think is going to happen? The American economy is growing, the world economy is growing, but the DFL refuses to allow drilling in American territory. Then they complain about the high price of gas! Incredibly stupid, yet so typical of Democrats.

The Democrat strategy is as follows:

1. Block all attempts to get at domestic sources of oil in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico
2. Complain about high gas prices which are a result of demand increasing faster than supply
3. Concoct conspiracy theories blaming “Big Oil” for what is actually the fault of the DFL
4. Propose new taxes on gas
5. Repeat steps 1 – 4 ad infinitum

Democrats: Bad for working Americans.
